News: Two pedestrians seriously injured after accident near Museum of Science

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Two people were sent to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle near the Museum of Science in Boston, according to NECN.

The accident happened on Edwin Land Boulevard in east Cambridge at about 8:30 p.m., when two people were struck by a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old man from Somerville.

The victims, a 27-year-old woman from Winthrop and a 34-year-old man from Boston, were taken to Massachusetts General for the treatment of serious wounds. Their identities have not yet been released.

The car’s windshield was shattered in the crash.

The driver remained at the scene after the collision and was reportedly cooperating with ongoing investigations. Pending their findings, charges may be filed.
